Day to Day Operations For Account Managers

Beginning of the day:

  1. Check and respond to emails from clients
  2. Check and respond to slack messages

After immediate needs are addressed, a typical day will include the following:

  • Checking and responding to emails that come in throughout the day
    • Create ClickUp tasks when requests are made
  • Check in on clients, communicate updates, make sure they are happy
  • Creating & managing tasks, keeping everything organized, and optimizing ClickUp
  • Hop in on projects or requested tasks 
  • Know each client’s pulse – both from a performance perspective and a feelings perspective
    • Have a good foothold on client’s rankings, conversion costs, frequency numbers for ads, etc…
  • Look into Facebook + Google ad campaigns performance to see how they are doing
  • Dive into the data
    • Agency Analytics
    • Google Analytics
    • Facebook Ads
    • Google Ads
    • Search Console
    • ahrefs
  • Research and Ideas
    • How can we get better overall?
    • What can we do to grow our client’s accounts for them?
      • Should we institute new ad campaigns? New ad creative
      • Go after different keywords? Hit certain keywords harder for the next quarter…
      • Should we launch ads on a different platform?
      • Would video ads help our clients? If so, what would be the best way to source them in a cost effective manner?
    • What can we do to reach more clients ourselves?

End of the day:

  1. Check and respond to emails from clients
  2. Check and respond to slack messages
